I was asking Papa, why we have to go through all the things we do?

Of course, being the wise counselor He is, He asked me a question right back ... "Amy, What make a good Sea Captain?" "Hmmmm?" I pondered. He continued, "What makes a great sea captain, is that he is experienced in the ways of the Sea." Simple answer, yet always profound, I thought.

Papa continued... Experience, in the in's and outs of Sea Life, embracing the unknowns through the joy of discovery! One gains understanding all along the way, as they map out better routes from their adventurous voyage. 

Can one gain this understanding through books alone? It must be experienced. Otherwise, you're "Sealegs" will never come about. Books are good, they give you clues, but it's in the doing of something that causes it to register in your being. 

You have the faith to be a good "Sea Captain," but frankly, you must embrace the Voyage by deciding to pull up anchor and engage the unknowns of the destiny I've called you to. Stop playing in the sand when you're called to be a "Sea Captain"! You're designed for the wide-open expanse of life! That's why your miserable most of the time, playing with tubs and sandcastles when you're called out to Sea. Let Me tell you; you have the courage! It's time to graduate and take your voyage! You're born for this, now decide to follow Me!

Yes, Observing is useful as a stepping stone, but there comes a time when you must cross over and thoroughly get your feet wet! No more talk, you've done enough dreaming, now put your feet to your walk and come aboard your call! I'll guide you and lead you; you're never alone. Why I'm the Best "Sea Captain" Man has ever known! Learn My ways and watch what I do, for you're in training to be a great Sea Captain. 

Yes, you'll feel a bit wobbly at first, a bit out of sorts and place. You're establishing your sealegs, of course- Engaging the new ideas and calls I've placed in you.

If not now, then when?! Jump in and Win! Your destiny awaits, and so do the passengers I've arranged to accompany you on this grand voyage.

Life is an adventure, not a bore. If you're board then perhaps you've been playing in the sand, too long. You're not in your dream boat, that's why! You're not even practicing and preparing for Sea. Mediocre is not the place for you, dear one. I'm ready to give you a real adventure. Stop selling yourself short for replicas built on the land.
