Every man in a relationship knows the real pressure he faces around this time every year(Valentines Day or any other special occasion): “How do I find the perfect gift that shows her how much I love her?” (Or really like her, if you’re dating).
Classically, the thing to do for Valentine’s Day is to give flowers and chocolate. But how many of us have spent hundreds of dollars on roses and chocolate, only to be met with a less-than-enthusiastic response from our significant other? She may have played along, but it was obvious that something was missing. She didn’t feel loved. What’s the deal?

The classic relational dynamic created by powerless people is called triangulation. When you believe that other people are scary, unsafe, and more powerful than you, and when you believe that you need to get them to meet your needs, then you have three possible roles you get to play in relationships: the victim, the bad guy, or the rescuer.

So many people are working at their jobs out of duty, yet they claim they are doing this because they love their family. Part of this is true, but they also have believed a lie that it is their lot in life and that I(Papa) really don’t desire that they truly enjoy doing what they are made to do in this life... Doctor! Doctor!!
Doctor the men! Bring them in by the droves to the truth of the Great Physician. I am more willing to heal men than you know. Men are the core foundation of the earth. Many are being tossed and thrown to the wayside by themselves, by women, and the public in general... |
