Ok guys! :) I couldn't pass this statement up!! John and I know this one first hand!! And I'm sure many of you if not all of you have gone through this!! It is definitely a part of the process we all go through.
Set your head like flint and keep a heart of gold as you move forward in what God alone has shared with you to do. Jesus made himself of no reputation... If we are being transformed into his image, well.. need I say more? . You already have what it take to make it to the end! God placed it in you! If God is for us, who can ultimately be against us!! If you will remain humble God will exalt and place you at a banqueting table in the presence of your enemies!! This is the God we serve!! He is the only one worth following!! Quoted from the movie UNBROKEN, "If you can take it, you can make it!", Love you all!! We are here to encourage you on this journey!! Blessings!! Your fellow sojourner, Amy

IT IS YOU, GOD WANTS TO TALK TO.
Is your life a walk with God or a walk with a strategic plan? Is it an adventure of faith or a blueprint you put together? I've learned that God does not give us all the details BUT He... You've been so programmed by the world's ways of what they call work. I am not some big "CEO" in the sky whom you must bow to, whom you have no relationship with. Who makes all kinds of demands of you. No, quite the opposite. Haven't you always admired My humble approach? Do you know that you can get a lot more done through a relationship with Me than you can through laws, protocols, tradition, and principles alone? Those are the typical standards that you find in the wild rat race going on in the earth...
I've been reading on Joseph. His life is astounding and many of us probably relate to his experience, especially pertaining to his relationships with those closest to him.
The passage says that when his brothers saw him coming to them from afar, they said "Here comes this dreamer!" Clearly, Joseph had vision for something greater than what his brothers ever imagined. He caught a glimpse of his identity before God and it rocked him. He shared it with them out of excitement which unbeknownst to Joseph, was not a good idea. Joseph wasn't expecting it, but him sharing backfired... I was thinking today about the excessive, wordy amounts of info out there and how it affects us... I asked Papa about it and this is what He said...
"Too much information can cause indigestion. I want My people to chew on it, not choke on it." I have heard it said so many times before “as soon as I get married I know all these things will change” I would like to invite all of us, and not just those of us that have not been married before to consider the following truths that I believe will cause every present and future marriage to be the healthy and wonderful experience I believe God had in mind when he designed it...
Lately, I keep hearing this phrase playing over and over inside of me, "God just wants to do life with us" like any good parent would. It's not about all of the works and glory. It's not about arriving, achieving, and success. Those things always come to an end anyway, don't they? Isn't it more about learning, growing, discovering, and beholding? God just wants to do life with us! He wants us to embrace the journey and enjoy the ride...
This is one of our favorite Graham Cooke stories... Living in Christ makes us vulnerable to laughter. Laughter is more than a choice; it’s a requirement for us that we be happy. God’s highest plan for our lives includes a desire for us to find, live in, and love the joy that is in Christ. God is good news! His love and presence is an absolute tonic for us.
That's right, put God on the phone!
Trust, Rest, & Allow...These are words I often hear God say to me on many occasions or words such as flow, or go with it... Often times we get so set with expectations about appointments, commitments, or time frames, but when it suddenly changes or delays... I began practicing medicine on the big island of Hawaii where extended families were the norm. I treated people who worked on sugar plantations, mostly ethnic Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Filipino. It was not uncommon for me to closely observe three and sometimes four generations within the same family. I got to know many of these families, treating the children, parents, grandparents, and sometimes even the great-grandparents of a single family.
At the outset of my medical career I was not the least bit interested in diet and nutrition. My medical training had included nothing about it and, consequently, I considered the subject irrelevant to health. But as I practiced medicine in Hawaii I observed a rather startling phenomenon... |
