I was thinking today about the excessive, wordy amounts of info out there and how it affects us... I asked Papa about it and this is what He said... "Too much information can cause indigestion. I want My people to chew on it, not choke on it." Isn't that so true! It's so easy to get overwhelmed with so much information in this fast paced, excessive, microwave generation. We shut down in the absence of simplicity. I think we're all tired of being "overfed". We should be enjoying the delicacies of God's Word, bite by bite; taking our time, like a fine dining experience. Where the chewing of His words become a pondering delight. Not this pressure to consume mass amounts, failing to taste, benefit, and enjoy it's flavor. I mean, if you think about it, where is this pressure coming from? The Bible says to meditate on His word and that it's a delight!
Psalm 119:15-16 I will meditate on Your precepts And regard Your ways. I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word. Jer 15:16 When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, LORD God Almighty. Psalm 119:103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Hmmm...fast food? Or fine dining with several individual courses? ;) Not to mention the taste, but how about the digestion part? Aren't we all tired of "Spiritual indigestion"? So, who's with Me? Let's get back to simplicity, delight, child like wonder, and enjoying the truths of Papa God, bite by bite! And let's tell Him what we like about it too. What great Chef doesn't want to hear good feedback on their creative, and authentic dishes? ;) Just saying.... Love you all! -Amy
