Hi Guys!
:) Here's some glorious thoughts to sip on and ponder from our friend Shawn. He  sat down and wrote this at one of his fav coffee shops here in Maui. Be blessed and encouraged by it!

We've all at some point in our lives no matter our standing with God, pondered His heart. Many of us have been lead to believe that He is a God of punishment and wrath. Others may think that God is the universe and that we should worship creation, and not the creator. In many ways we've all defined who or what God is, and what His intention is for our lives. We find ourselves on the fringe...

...of many beliefs and get lost in this constant tiptoe around what the Father's heart really is. Even as I'm writing this now, I confess at times I have accepted both of these ideologies and completely deny His existence, and even going as far as mocking those with faith! However, here I am now writing this, and I can tell that God is in constant pursuit of your heart.

His only motive is to love you radically! I don't know where exactly we drifted far from the idea of "being friends with God," but that's the very thing He wants so dearly from us! It's not about always obeying commands or "being a good person." It's about walking with Him. It's the idea that He wants us to be personable with Him, laying down everything in front of Him. That means our joy, our sorrow, our hurt in time of need, and in times of abundance. That's the kind of friend God is; He is not circumstantially persuaded. I mean that He doesn't just want to be with you when things are going good, like many human relationships.

Again, He wants it all; The good, the bad, and the ugly. That is true unconditional love! The most amazing thing about this is that when we allow God to love us so outrageously, it gives us the ability to love others outrageously! When you truly know what it feels like to be loved at the deepest capacity with no strings attached, then you know how God loves us. So come on today and start walking again, with your best friend, and let Him love you ridiculously!!

Many Mahalo's,
Shawn Thompson,
Maui, Hi
