Identity is the key to transformation once the encounter with the God of The Universe happens. Who and what we identify with resembles what we believe and the course of direction we'll take in life. Many well meaning believers (Including myself at one point) identify with a particular church group, doctrine or personality alone. This belief in and of itself isn't inherently wrong or evil. We can identify with many things in life, and it doesn't mean we are deceived. However, when we begin to find our entire identity in these things apart from who we really are in Christ, this is when we become deceived. Why is that? Take a look at what scripture has to say about it.
Genesis 1: 27 Msg "God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God's nature. He created them male and female."
We have been created in Gods image, not in humanity's image, corrupt systems, man-made doctrines, church groups or personalities. God (Love) is where our identity starts. 1 John states that God is love, and because he is love, then we know we were created by love and we have become one with love because of what Christ did on the cross for us. If we know that we are loved without condition, and we spread that love to others, then we can truly bring freedom to a hurting world.
Much more about identity, but we will save it for the messages on the site, as well as the gatherings.

Freedom:
Living free is something everyone wants. We all hear it constantly, don't we? Whether it's a job, relationship or calling, humanity is continually coming up with ways to create a lifestyle of freedom. When we think about the definition of freedom, it means different things to different people. To one, it may mean they are free to be their own boss, and to others it means being free from some kind of addiction. Whatever the case may be, Christ is the answer to any and all freedom one might be after.
Here's the ultimate definition of freedom in our view.
Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG) “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
This Matthew 11 translation, pretty much sums it up when it comes to seeing the nature of who Christ is. Anyone who calls themselves a Christ follower knows this to be true within their spirit. The issue is not with who he is, the issue is with the mindsets we find ourselves in and the religious institutions that breed burn out, control, and striving. Religion is intertwined with striving. It doesn't even begin to know how to live a life of peace and rest, because religion is void of genuine relationship. Again, the only freedom is found in and through a vibrant relationship with Christ.
